Everywhere else wants something from you.

The Wingman Club doesn't. It's a small private club for men, and the only thing it asks is that you turn up.

Golf, pool, darts and a lounge with the sport on. Nothing to organise, nobody to impress, no committee, no dress code and no joining fee. A couple of hours off duty with men who are glad you came.

Turn up on your own. You'll quickly get to know people.
Organised competition. Whatever your level, every member can join in and enjoy it.
Just jump in. With other fellow members.
A third place. Not work, not home. Most men have nowhere like it, and most don't realise until they do.

What's in it.

GolfFull simulator bay. Four spots a session, real courses, proper tracking.
DartsProper oche and a lit board. Around the clock, killer, 501.
PoolEnglish 7ft table. Killer, doubles, and a league.
The loungeLeather, low light, and the sport on. The bit most places forget.

It's not big and it isn't meant to be. Small enough that you'll recognise people, big enough that there's always something on.

You don't need to bring anyone.

No dragging your mates away from their families, no pressuring anyone to come out, no chasing a group chat for a date.

When you've got a few hours to yourself, come to the club. There'll be other members there who've done the same, ready for a game and a chat.

No egos.
No dickheads.

Just good blokes, healthy competition and a laugh. Turn up alone on a Tuesday and you'll leave having had a proper game and a proper laugh. That's the whole thing.

Organised competitions, if you want them.

The club runs competitions that play out over a week or longer, so you fit your games in whenever suits you. Fully handicapped, so whatever your level you can join in, compete and enjoy it.

The focus rotates. A golf competition, then darts, then pool, so every member gets a run at something he's good at. Or ignore the lot and just play. Nothing is compulsory.

GOLF
Team scramble, stableford, match pairs. Handicapped on the simulator.
DARTS
Around the clock, killer, 501.
POOL
Killer, doubles, and a league on the 7ft table.

You'll never make a first visit alone. Every new member's first session is accompanied by an existing member, an owner or the founder. Walking in on your own to meet strangers is the hard part, and nobody's being left to do it alone.

Questions
Do I have to know somebody?

No, you can turn up on your own, and enjoy time with like-minded people who will welcome you to the club.

Is it really men only?

Absolutely, we also need our own space at times.

When does it open?

Soon. The list hears the date first. No countdown clocks.

I'm not much of a golfer.

Doesn't matter. Everything is handicapped, so a 24 can have a real match against a 6, and often wins it. And there's pool, darts and the lounge if golf isn't your thing at all.

When would I pay?

Not until memberships go on sale. Joining the list costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

Can I bring a mate?

Members receive one guest pass per month, valid only for vetted guests.

What if I hate it?

Monthly rolling. Cancel any month. No joining fee, no minimum term.

Whereabouts in Stoke?
